Quick start
- Pick a species from the dropdown. Droid produces canonical designations (R2-D2, BB-8); Generic Alien covers any species without a dedicated profile.
- For species that support it (currently Human), choose Full, First only, or Family only.
- Set how many names you want (1–20).
- Click Generate. Use Copy all to paste a batch into session notes.
How it works
Each species has a profile with phoneme pools (consonant onsets, vowels, codas, and species-specific extras) and pattern templates. The generator picks a pattern, fills each {placeholder} with a random sample from the matching pool, and validates the result against length limits and banned letter clusters. Invalid candidates are retried up to 50 times per name, so adding a new species is a matter of dropping a JSON file into Shared/NameGeneratorProfiles/.
