And Gor is hellbent on unleashing a droid uprising and bringing the rest of the galaxy to its knees.

Lando enlists Han's help to track down the Phylanx Redux Transmitter, a dangerous device capable of controlling an army of droids. On Coruscant, Lando reconnects with his old friend Han, and the two agree to work together to find the device before Fyzen Gor can use it to devastating effect.

Din Djarin finds among a hidden Mandalorian covert on Nevarro to rewrite as a member of the Bounty Hunters Guild--meeting a band of other bounty men. Across Outer Rim worlds. After accepting a bounty from a client belonging to an Imperial remnant, Din encounters his quarry: a mysterious child on Arvala-7.

On Nevarro, Din Djarin delivers the Child (Grogu) to the Client, an Imperial remnant officer, and collects his bounty of beskar. However, Din has a change of heart and returns to rescue Grogu from the Client's facility, making him a target of the Bounty Hunters' Guild.

For a long time, the Mandalorian, or Din Djarin, has been a faceless bounty hunter, his features hidden beneath a beskar helmet and his real name known to very few. But one job changes everything for him. Hired to recover a bounty for an Imperial Client, the Mandalorian comes face-to-face with a vulnerable child and ultimately risks everything--his livelihood, his reputation, and his life--to do what he feels is right.

Needing to retrieve a mudhorn egg in the wild, Din is nearly killed by the beast. However, Grogu uses the Force to save his life.

While Din was offworld, his covert has been vanquished, but the Armorer remains. She declares that Din has earned the signet--a mudhorn skull--and names Din and Grogu a clan of two. The Armorer tasks Din with caring for the foundling until he can be returned to his kind and gifts him a jetpack to add to his armor.

Having rescued Grogu from the Client, Din becomes a fugitive. In the ensuing battle on Nevarro, Din's Mandalorian covert members emerge from hiding and rally to fight off the bounty hunters, allowing Din and Grogu to escape.

Cad Bane arrives in the city of Mos Pelgo (Freetown) to deliver a warning on behalf of the Pyke Syndicate, and guns down Marshal Cobb Vanth in a standoff.

After countless days spent in exile evading bounty hunters, it seems the Mandalorian can no longer outrun his past. Contacted by Greef with a commission, he returns to Nevarro to free it from the stronghold of the Client's Imperial Remnant. The Mandalorian is surrounded by the few individuals he has come to trust as allies--but he does not anticipate the arrival of formidable foe Moff Gideon and his hunger to ensnare Grogu.

Din's Mandalorian covert on Nevarro is exposed and ambushed by Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant forces. Many Mandalorians are killed in the attack.

Din returns to Nevarro with allies including Cara Dune and Greef Karga, the local leader of the Bounty Hunters' Guild. The group works together to deal with the Imperial remnant presence, but they are confronted by Moff Gideon's forces.

Din meets and speaks with Bo-Katan Kryze on Trask. He is surprised to learn that not all Mandalorians live by his creed of never removing their helmets and accuses him of the tradition of being impostors. Bo-Katan tells Din to head to Corvus where an ally awaits him in the Rebel's Ahsoka Tano.

On the planet Tython, Din brings Grogu to the ancient Jedi seeing stone. Grogu reaches out through the Force, sending a call that is eventually answered by Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.

Din meets former Jedi Ahsoka Tano on the planet Corvus. She reveals that the Child's name is Grogu and, sensing his deep attachment to Din, declines to train him. She directs them to the planet Tython, where Grogu can reach out to other Jedi through the Force.

Din discovers Mandalorian armor in the possession of Cobb Vanth, the marshal of Mos Pelgo on Tatooine. Din agrees to help Vanth defeat a krayt dragon terrorizing the area in exchange for the beskar armor. Neither Din nor Vanth realize the armor originally belonged to Boba Fett.

On Tython, while Grogu meditates on the seeing stone, Boba Fett arrives to reclaim his armor. Before the situation is resolved, Moff Gideon's forces attack and capture Grogu. Din agrees to return Boba's armor, and Boba pledges to help rescue the child.

Din begins his quest to locate members of the Jedi Order, so that the foundling might have a chance to be among his own kind. The warrior hopes to find other Mandalorians to help him along his mission. The bond between Grogu and his protector is only strengthened by the tumultuous nature of their shared journey, which brings ravenous ice spiders, menacing droid troopers, and more to their door.

Din removes his helmet in front of other living beings for the first time since he became a Mandalorian. Although this is a painful betrayal of the Way, he was raised to follow. His sacrifice is essential to gaining Gideon's location so he can rescue Grogu.

Despite successfully freeing Grogu and winning the legendary Darksaber weapon in battle, Din and his team are trapped by Gideon's dark troopers. All hope seems lost until a single X-wing fighter appears and a cloaked figure with a green lightsaber destroys the droid soldiers. The Jedi Master Luke Skywalker heard Grogu's call, and Din must now give up the foundling so he can be trained in the Force.

Mounting a daring rescue to free Grogu from the clutches of Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant may not be the hardest task awaiting Din. Although his mission is fraught with danger and has life-changing consequences for the Mandalorian warrior, who will have to choose between his code and his friend behind enemy lines, it also means the end of his protector role and saying goodbye.

Din attempts to return to his life as a bounty hunter. He carries the Darksaber but struggles with its weight and fighting style. He is cast out by the Armorer for having removed his helmet, violating the Way of the Mandalore.

Din travels to visit Grogu at Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy. However, Ahsoka Tano turns him away, explaining that Din's presence would distract Grogu from his training.

Boba Fett discovers Fennec Shand, badly wounded, and takes her to a mod parlor to be outfitted with lifesaving cybernetics. After recovering, she agrees to help Boba in return for him saving her life.

Boba returns to the Sarlacc pit to search for his armor. Flying his ship Slave I over the pit, the Sarlacc attacks with its tentacles. Fennec Shand fires on the creature and deploys seismic charges to destroy it, but the armor is not inside. Boba's armor had already been taken by Jawas and eventually ended up with Cobb Vanth.

After years of bounty hunting and working for others, combined with the loss of his Tusken tribe, Boba Fett decides to build his own crime family, and as its head, answer to no one. With his armor and Firespray ship restored to him, and his business partner Fennec Shand by his side, Boba prepares to take over Mos Espa's underworld empire--once overseen by Jabba the Hutt--and change the course of its citizens' future.

Boba Fett travels to the settlement of Freetown (formerly Mos Pelgo) to recruit Cobb Vanth and the townspeople as allies in his coming war against the Pyke Syndicate.

Grogu must decide whether to continue his Jedi training with Luke or return to Din.

Grogu chooses to return to Din Djarin rather than continue his Jedi training with Luke Skywalker. After reuniting with Din, Grogu helps in the battle against the Pyke Syndicate in Mos Espa, using the Force to calm a rampaging rancor and saving the city from destruction.

The Mandalorian returns to Tatooine to help Boba Fett in his war against the Pyke Syndicate for control of Mos Espa.

Moff Gideon remains a dangerous threat, commanding Imperial remnant forces with advanced technology including dark troopers. His obsession with Grogu and Mandalorian beskar drives his continued aggression.

Boba Fett and Fennec Shand storm the headquarters of the Pyke Syndicate in Mos Espa, settling old scores. Boba deploys his arsenal against the Pyke forces and their allies, the Kintan Striders biker gang.

Boba Fett takes the throne formerly held by Jabba the Hutt in the palace on Tatooine. With Fennec Shand at his side, Boba establishes himself as the new Daimyo of Mos Espa.

Now a second firing threatens to vanquish the Resistance. The heroes seek to destroy it before that can happen, but must infiltrate its epicenter to do so, by targeting the thermal oscillator that sustains the planet's core. Elsewhere, other Resistance agents fight to survive amid the galactic chaos.

The Resistance is on its knees. Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo makes her last stand as the lone pilot aboard the Raddus, executing a devastating hyperspace ramming maneuver as the rebels' numbers dwindle and the few who remain make a desperate trip to a disused Rebel-era base on Crait. Meanwhile, Rey rushes to face Kylo Ren, sensing there is still good in him. Together, they put an end to Supreme Leader Snoke's reign—but at great cost.

While Black Squadron engages First Order forces on Ikkrukk, it is on Crait where the Resistance's fate is decided. With their numbers dwindling and a distress signal unanswered, General Leia Organa remains defiant. As a barrage of First Order fire rains down on the rebels' fortress, hope arrives in the form of Luke Skywalker's Force projection. In a magnificent defense, the spark of the Resistance is kept alive and the survivors escape to fight another day.

Despite the silence that follows their plea for help at the devastating Battle of Crait, General Leia Organa remains hopeful for the future of the Resistance. With the few fighters she has left, Leia begins rebuilding her forces, personally seeking out old friends and making new allies. Although a temporary base on Ryloth doesn't last long and results only in further destruction, slowly but surely the Resistance grows in number.

While the crew of the Colossus struggle to sustain themselves, the Resistance continues recruiting members, borrowing ships, and stockpiling weapons in their fight against the First Order. But as on Ryloth, the First Order has started punishing any planet that so much as accepts a transmission from the freedom fighters. Their reign of terror makes even the once-friendly world of Mon Cala inhospitable to General Leia and her crew.

After the adventures on Mon Cala, the ever-resourceful Resistance continues to gather supplies and put down roots across the galaxy. On the remote Outer Rim world of Batuu, Resistance spy Vi Moradi scouts potential locations for a recruitment outpost. Meanwhile, on the Colossus, the situation remains anything but stable, and the fragile alliance between pirate leader Kragan Gorr and Captain Imanuel Doza falls apart.

Nowhere is safe in the galaxy as the First Order continues its merciless drive to annihilate any pockets of Resistance. Vi Moradi's Batuu outpost attracts the attention of the First Order, which occupies Black Spire Outpost. The Colossus and its residents are desperate for a new home, but the fanatical First Order is only one step behind.

Poe Dameron forms Black Squadron to search for Lor San Tekka, who may know the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker. He selects four pilots—Snap Wexley, Jess Pava, Kare Kun, and L'ulo L'ampar. Meanwhile, former Imperial agent Terex becomes a recurring adversary for the squadron.

Leia trains Rey on Ajan Kloss on the site of the new Resistance base.

The Resistance has relocated to its new Outer Rim base of operations, hidden in the dense jungles of the world of Ajan Kloss. Tired but defiant, Leia continues the fight against the First Order. Ajan Kloss is an ideal secret HQ, and she sets about training Rey in the ways of the Force, using Luke Skywalker's and her own knowledge of the Jedi. The conflict is coming.

Long thought dead, the fallen Emperor and Sith Lord Darth Sidious emerges to enforce what he sees as the natural order: total galactic subjugation. In a message broadcast across the stars, Palpatine heralds his return and proclaims the day of the Sith. In triumph, he summons a staggering fleet of Star Destroyers with planet-destroying weapons—his "Final Order"—and promises them to Kylo Ren. The price: Kylo must kill Rey.

Operating from the Sith world of Exegol, Palpatine unveils a massive fleet of Xyston-class Star Destroyers, each armed with planet-destroying superlasers—a redesigned version of the original Death Star technology. Kylo Ren travels to Exegol and witnesses the Sith fleet firsthand.

Kylo Ren reveals to Rey that she is the granddaughter of Palpatine. The revelation shakes Rey to her core, as she fears she is destined to fall to the dark side.

With only hours until the Final Order fleet is unleashed on all who oppose the New Empire, the Resistance must act fast to bring the fight to Exegol. Yet locating the planet can only be achieved via a Sith wayfinder. Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewbacca, C-3PO, and BB-8 pick up a trail once walked by Luke and Lando, who had previously investigated rumors of Sith relics. As the dangerous quest continues, Rey must confront the truth of her own bloodline.

Rey senses her deep connection to the dark side of the Force, accidentally using Force lightning to destroy a First Order transport she believes is carrying Chewbacca. The incident horrifies her and shakes her confidence.

After learning the truth of her lineage, Rey sets out on a solitary mission to find a Sith wayfinder that will lead her to Exegol. She also senses Kylo Ren pursuing her through their Force bond.

After a fierce lightsaber duel in the ruins of the second Death Star, Rey heals Kylo using the Force, encouraging him to turn back to the light side and become Ben Solo once more.

On Kef Bir, one of Endor's many moons, and with the threat of Palpatine's Final Order looming, the dyad in the Force meets in a battle for the future of the galaxy. It is a duel: generations in the making: the grandson of Darth Vader against the granddaughter of the Emperor, in the ruins of the second Death Star. In a stunning act of selflessness, a dying Leia makes one final effort to reach her son, Ben, who she believes is locked away beneath the angry exterior of Kylo Ren.

Kylo Ren returns to the light side as Ben Solo after failing Palpatine's test. Palpatine harnesses the power of the dyad in the Force—the bond between Rey and Ben—to rejuvenate his decaying body. He unleashes Force lightning upon the Resistance fleet with his renewed power.

It is the last stand for the Resistance. In a desperate attempt to finally end the war, the freedom fighters assemble at Exegol for a showdown with the Final Order. They are but a motley collection of small ships--from ancient frigates and starfighters to Mon Calamari cruisers and Wookiee gunships--pitted against Star Destroyers with planet-obliterating weaponry. But the determined Resistance rallies, knowing they will either win the day or at least die trying.

Rey travels to Exegol and confronts Palpatine, who attempts to turn her anger to the dark side. As a dyad in the Force, Rey and Ben Solo face the resurrected Palpatine together. Rey ultimately defeats him by turning his own Force lightning back on him using Luke and Leia's lightsabers, channeling the power of all the Jedi who came before. Weakened by the effort, Rey dies but is revived when Ben sacrifices his own life force to resurrect her. The two share a kiss before Ben becomes one with the Force.

Palpatine is destroyed once and for all, ending the Sith's millennia-long quest for galactic domination. With his death, the Final Order fleet is left leaderless and is defeated by the Resistance and the citizens' fleet.

Leia Organa, having completed her Jedi training years earlier under Luke, becomes one with the Force. She later appears alongside Luke as a Force spirit to Rey on Tatooine.

On Tatooine, Rey buries Luke and Leia's lightsabers near the Lars homestead where Luke grew up. When asked her name by a passerby, she takes the surname "Skywalker," honoring her mentors' legacy.
