This Privacy Policy explains how D6DB ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the D6DB website (d6db.com), the D6DB iOS app, the D6DB Android app, and our Discord bot integration (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Google or Discord OAuth, we receive and store your name, email address, and profile picture from the provider you choose. We do not receive or store your Google or Discord password.

Profile Information

You may optionally provide additional information such as a display name, bio, pronouns, interests, and social media links. You control which profile sections are visible to others through visibility settings.

User-Generated Content

We store characters, campaigns, homebrew content, and other data you create within the Services.

Discord Integration

If you link your Discord account or sign in with Discord, we store your Discord user ID and username to enable bot features such as dice rolling, compendium lookups, and campaign management within your Discord servers. We do not read or store your Discord messages.

Automatically Collected Information

We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) to maintain and improve the Services. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services.

  • Service Providers: We use third-party services for hosting and authentication (Google OAuth, Discord OAuth). These providers have their own privacy policies.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Your data is stored on secured servers. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and follow industry-standard practices to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

  • Profile Visibility: You can control which sections of your profile are publicly visible from your account settings.
  • Account Linking: You can connect or disconnect Google and Discord accounts from your account settings.
  • Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Upon deletion, your characters, campaigns, and profile data will be permanently removed.
  • Data Export: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.

The Services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

The D6DB iOS and Android apps connect to the same backend as the website. The same data collection, usage, and protection practices described in this policy apply to the mobile apps. The apps do not collect additional device data beyond what is necessary for authentication and functionality.
