Background
The DC0200 Protector was Daystar Craft’s short ranged light starfighter developed in the late years of the Galactic Republic. Advertised as the “Protector” the craft had a sleek shape similar to their various airspeeders and carried twin laser cannons and two missile launchers. While the craft was not selected for use by the Republic at large it was utilized by select members of the Jedi Order prior to the introduction of the Delta-7 Aetherspriteclass Starfighter. The DC0200 used expensive Daystar Hyperspace thruster rings which were fitted only for the ship and incapable to be used by other model ships. This design flaw led to low sales and the eventual discontinuation of the DC0200 line of starfighters.
