iOS Update #7

Bug Fixes 

  • More NPC and Droid formatting fixes (Finishing these I hope).
  • Fixing Droid Characters Armor attachments not counting as actual armor in the character sheet. Fixing the inability to delete characters on macOS (swipe doesn't work there apparently).
  • Fixing Custom NPCs not showing up in the proper NPC category if one is set.
  • Fixing Named NPCs not showing up in the proper categories.

Features 

  • Adding Lightsaber Combat Toggle to Settings to switch between Rules as Written usage (Add Sense to Lightsaber roll to hit, add control to Lightsaber Damage) or House Rule (current implementation: Add Control to Hit, Add Sense for Defense, no damage adjustment).
  • Adding toggle to Lightsaber Item card to toggle 
  • Adding Control to Damage on/off if the above is set to RAW version. Adding the "Without Teacher" toggle to the settings menu, where it can be toggled permanently if desired, rather than per advancement session. 
  • Added Categories to the Settings menu for better clarity.
  • Adding Point usage screen to NPCs, Droids, Creatures, Ships and Vehicles.
  • Adding "Quick Roll" Setting (this is the current implementation), Toggling it off will cause the point selection window to come up between clicking the dice button and when the actual roll takes place, allowing you to add character points, force points, lightsaber combat, etc prior to the roll taking place, without having to open the other window first. 
  • Adding an Equipment Purchase function to the character sheet, allowing you to spend credits on purchasing weapons, armor, equipment, droids, ships, and vehicles (will require ensuring all weapons, armor, equipment, droids, ships, and vehicles have credit costs associated with them)
  • Adding an "Equipped" armor, toggle, so that when the character has multiple sets of armor, they select which one is active, the others won't show the dice rollers (if active).
  • Adding a Standalone Dice Roller to the tools menu

Cleanup/Refactor 

  • Cleaned up Character Creation and Droid Character Creation code, moving code sections into standalone files, reducing their file sizes significantly and improving performance. 
  • Cleaned up Data loading functions for Alien Species, Equipment, Force Powers, NPCs, Droids Ships, and Weapons, to improve load times of data and remove redundant code. 
  • Cleaned up Data Import/Export functions, created Import and Export managers to handle most of the heavy lifting for those functions. 
  • Removed significant amounts of redundant code, consolidating into shared functions, improving performance.
  • Cleaned up the Rules section, converted the format to use markdown to allow for headers, tables, etc

Bug Fixes

  • Cleaning up Data Entries for NPCs, Droids and Creatures, fixing formatting on equipment to allow for dice rollers for weapons, armor and special abilities.
    • This process will be done incrementally over several releases due to the large number of updates that need to occur (Please be patient). -FIxing an issue where the Guided Character Creation and Edit Characters did not have the same Traits (Advantage/Disadvantage) listed. -Fixing an issue where the Search function from the main dashboard would not include results from all data entries.
  • Fixing Force skill costs to be inline with the actual rules (1x CP cost)
  • Cleaning up duplicates and fixing names in Ships

  • NPC/Droid/Creature detailed view rework to bring it more closely inline with character sheet visuals (cards vs list for attributes and skills, dice roller availability
  • Updating Initiative tracker to have popout windows with dice rollers (on GM View) along with the expandable list view.
  • Adding several new categories for NPCs
  • Adding Custom Skills and incorporating them into NPCs, Droids, Characters, and Droid Characters
    • Custom Skills, and Traits (Advantages and Disadvantages) must be created prior to creating the character, or they won't show up in the character creation menu (editing a character after they are created will still allow you to add them)
  • Adding Notes section to the character sheet.
  • Adding toggle to switch from Force Skill cost (1x) to Force Attribute Cost (10x)
  • Adding toggle to character advancement for "with/without a teacher" for force skills
  • Adding "Formatting and Usage" informational section to the Settings menu, kind of like the rules section, but it includes how to format things properly for custom content so that things like dice rollers and stats apply properly.

Bug Fixes
Fix an issue which could cause Custom NPCs to be wiped on app update if non-custom NPCs were added or updated in the update.
Fix Multiple Data issues where Droids attributes and skills were mixed up.
Fix an issue that causes the swipe to delete function in the campaign and session views from not working on Mac (added right click context menu to those screens).
Fix an issue where some traits were missing from the trait picker inside the character editor

Features/Updates
Initial Implementation of an Encounter builder, allowing you to select from custom, stock and named NPCs and droids and add them to an encounter, which can then be added to the initiative tracker.
Add a “specialization” toggle to skills in character creation, tied to specialization logic.
Add an override for stacking natural and worn armor values (both physical and energy) into the Settings menu
Add "Learn Skill" to Advancement menu using the standard "Learning new skills" rules
Remove Table Sync over Internet for the time being while I rework the backend for it, Local Table Sync (Wifi/Bluetooth) still functions fine.
Add "Nightsister Magick"
-- Special Section of Force Powers for Nightsister Magick 
-- Dathomirian and Dathomir Zabrak can toggle "Nightsister" during character creation or edit (may open this up to anyone, undecided yet)

-- Fixed multiple data entry issues on weapons with multiple possible dice codes, allowing all the codes to be visible on the weapon dice roller view.
-- Fixed multiple data entry issues on weapons, armor and equipment that list skill bonus/penalties (to work with the roll conditions function)
-- Fixed an issue with the GM/Player character sync when either makes a change to the sheet. The "diff" should now accurately show the change, not the full block where the change took place.

-- Added the ability to copy an existing non-custom entity (basically anything but rules), to a custom version that can then be edited and customized
-- Added an "owner character" field to custom NPCs, Droids, Ships and Vehicles, allowing them to be tied to a specific character in the app
-- Added "Associated NPCs & Droids", and "Owned Ships & Vehicles" to the character sheet, reducing the amount of back and forth people will need to do to access ship/droid/companion stats.
-- Added Custom Traits (Advantages/Disadvantages) Section in the "Rules" Menu, this will allow you to enter in your custom advantages/disadvantages and gives you the ability to import/export them like the other custom data entries. 
-- Added custom traits (above) to the character creation/edit flows. Allowing you to add your custom traits to characters either during creation or by editing them 
-- Added Dice Roller functionality to character attributes, skills, weapons and Armor ("soak" roll), plus "owned" vehicles, and ships as long as the data is present (weapons have a dice value in the data, etc.) with the option of sending it to a Discord server (uses web-hook, setup in Settings), keeps a persistant roll history (can be cleared) 
-- Added "Settings" menu
--- Clear Custom Data options to clear all custom data or individual items
