From the Personal Journal of Vall Juridian, Jedi Knight

Entry Date: 19:8:14 BBY (Final months of the war)

Location: Balmorra Foundry Assault

This war has changed the way I move in the Force.

Once, I flowed around my opponents, redirected them, found the least violent path. Now… I strike first. Hard. Fast. It’s more efficient, and efficiency means fewer clones sent home in body bags.

But I can feel the difference inside me. The calm I once carried has been replaced with a readiness to kill. I’ve justified it a hundred ways—“necessary for survival,” “to protect my men,” “to end the war sooner”—but at night, when I close my eyes, the justifications fade and all I see are the dead.

The Chancellor speaks of victory. The Council says the Separatists are collapsing. Maybe they’re right. But I’ve learned something: wars don’t end cleanly. They leave scars. On planets, on armies… and on Jedi.
